About Garmin RV 795, Large, Easy-To-Read 7 GPS RV Navigator
Overall Feedback:
83% positive
79% praised for its pinpoint accuracy, but 21% experienced occasional errors
I compared it with my phone's Maps app and found it to be pretty close to accurate when it came to the directions as needed.
Garmin GPS has about 60% accuracy compared to Waze and gives a rough idea of reaching a certain place.
My previous GPS kept freezing up when it lost GPS signal.
The GPS failed to give traffic advice and warn me about traffic, sharp turns, weather and even getting to the correct destination in 7 recent major USA cities.
The GPS led me down a path with insufficient vertical clearance for my 12' 5" tall RV, indicating its inaccuracy.
83% appreciated its long-lasting battery
I am satisfied with the purchase.
If I had not stopped at all, my Garmin GPS would have been the most accurate.
90% liked the clear display, but 10% found it hard to read in bright light
The screen of my handheld GPS unit is large and crystal clear.
Adjusting the screen brightness while navigating the device is irritating.
82% appreciated the ample storage capacity
I like to plan my trips in advance and make reservations accordingly. I also appreciate the ability to copy and paste an address in the TomTom My Drive app on my smartphone, which connects to my TomTom and enters it automatically.
77% found the interface intuitive and easy to use, but 23% found it confusing
I gave a positive rating for the graphics, interface and information available.
To enter an address that is useful RV distance from my current location, I first need to walk through a menu to get to the point to tell it to search near a different city. Then, I can enter the street number and hit done, and then enter the street name. This process is specific to Garmin GPS and has come out of my user experience.
I tested the GPS unit on a 2,000 mile road trip and found it to be accurate and perfect in its functioning.
