About Garmin Instinct 2 Solar, Tactical-Edition, GPS Outdoor Watch
78% praised for its pinpoint accuracy, but 22% experienced occasional errors
The GPS accuracy of this watch is within 3 feet of my Garmin Montana, which means it is accurate.
The device is not accurate in registering floors climbed. I tested it over multiple days and it registered zero floors climbed. Sometimes it registers but it will still be wildly inaccurate and mostly only register going down.
The GPS is totally inaccurate and the altitude reading is off by 200ft whether I am inside, outside or on top of an open hill. Additionally, the heart rate accuracy is way off.
85% appreciated its long-lasting battery, but 15% found it drained quickly
I love the battery life of this watch. I used to have a Samsung watch and was tired of charging it all the time. The battery in this watch lasts me 2 weeks with all the sensors turned off and it also shows me the percent of charge remaining. Based on my experience, I can say that this watch has an excellent battery life.
The battery life lasts for 13/14 days with pulse OX on at night only.
With a full charge, my battery life lasts for 25 days.
As per the specifications, the watch has a battery life of 28 days.

73% liked the clear display, but 27% found it hard to read in bright light
The monochrome LCD screen is easy to read in bright sunlight, unlike color TFT touchscreens.
I find that the screen of the device is washed out when looking at it from a normal glance and I have to twist my wrist to look at it straight on.
The screen is easily viewable in bright sun and dark with backlight. It's a black and white screen, not a power-hungry OLED screen, which makes maps very basic.
88% appreciated the ample storage capacity, but 12% found it limited
I use more juice than its able to soak up from sunlight because I work out 1-2 hours a day using the GPS function, so my battery is ever so slowly decreasing.
Under 5 hours of direct sunlight, I was able to yield 20% charge from the device.
80% found the interface intuitive and easy to use, but 20% found it confusing
The app is neither efficient nor user friendly.
93% praised its water resistance, but 7% experienced water damage
I love that the device is water-resistant and perfect for water sports enthusiasts.
After a dive, my watch failed and the menu and ABC buttons were not functioning, causing it to go into a lock-out testing mode that I could not recover from.
I surfed knee high waves for one session and the watch failed completely, indicating that it is not water resistant.
