About Garmin GPSMAP 67i Rugged GPS Handheld
84% appreciated its long-lasting battery, but 16% found it drained quickly
In the field, I have found the battery life to be essentially forever, which is a great asset.
My favorite features of the product are its inReach messaging and 80 hour battery life.
The battery life has increased from the previous model, but I am concerned about the disposability of batteries, which will eventually lead to discarding the device.
70% liked the clear display, but 30% found it hard to read in bright light
The screen resolution is purpose built for navigation and assessment and although not as high as an iPhone, it is still very good.
I suggest getting a screen protector and a larger screen with more surface area to avoid scratches and cracks.
I was disappointed with the screen quality and suggested that it should have a high dpi touch screen for the price. The interface felt outdated, like it belonged on a flip phone.
Typing long messages on this screen is tedious as it is not a touchpad.

70% found the interface intuitive and easy to use, but 30% found it confusing
I think the user interface of this device is not as advanced as other devices in its class, but it's still an asset. I'm not looking for this device to be a smartwatch or tablet.
The interface has a learning curve, but once I get the hang of it, it is easy to use with many features.
I find the software buggy and the UI not well thought out. Specific examples were given to support this negative feedback.
88% praised for its rugged water resistance
