About Garmin GPSMAP 67 Rugged GPS Handheld
Overall Feedback:
74% positive
84% appreciated its long-lasting battery, but 16% found it drained quickly
My favorite features of the product are its inReach messaging and 80 hr battery life.
The battery life has increased from the previous model, but I am concerned that the batteries are disposable and will eventually be the fate of this device.
69% liked the clear display, but 31% found it hard to read in bright light
The screen resolution is purpose-built for navigation and assessment, although not as high as an iPhone.
With an inReach subscription, I can access a screen that provides the most current weather update.
I suggest using a screen protector to prevent scratches or cracks on the larger screen of the inReach Explore+.
I am dissatisfied with the GPS unit's interface. It feels like it belongs on a flip phone. For the price, a high dpi touch screen should be included.
Tapping out long messages on the screen is tedious as it is not a touchpad.
When the sky is bright, the display is hard to read even if I avoid direct sunlight by creating a small shade.
93% appreciated the ample storage capacity, but 7% found it limited
The handheld GPS unit's best features are its inReach messaging and 80 hour battery life.
I did not mention the storage capacity of my handheld GPS unit.
69% found the interface intuitive and easy to use, but 31% found it confusing
I think the user interface is not as advanced as other devices in its class, but it is still an asset.
The interface has a learning curve but is feature-packed.
I am dissatisfied with the UI of the handheld GPS unit. It is buggy and not well thought out. The UI is confusing and difficult to navigate. My sentiment is negative.
The learning curve is quite long and it will take me a few weeks to figure out which menu options are important. The interfaces, apps, and usability of Garmin devices are extremely wonky and antiquated.
87% praised its water resistance, but 13% experienced water damage
I am frustrated that the device is not compatible with GSAK, a Geocaching software.
I can access 5 of the 6 world GNSS systems with this unit.
