About Garmin Edge 1030 Plus GPS Cycling/Bike Computer
Overall Feedback:
94% positive
90% praised for its pinpoint accuracy
The Garmin edge 1030 plus is a great product for cycling. It provides accurate data and has enough battery to last for days.
The GPS accuracy is good, but not flawless.
95% appreciated its long-lasting battery, but 5% found it drained quickly
I rode a 150 mile ride around Mt. Rainier with 10,000 feet of climbing and still had 70% battery life left, proving that the battery life is long lasting.
After charging the battery once, I left it for one or two days before using it again and it died.
In a real-life situation, I used 10% of the battery in about 45 minutes on the street.
The unit's battery life is listed as lasting up to a year.
83% liked the clear display, but 17% found it hard to read in bright light
The screen size is larger than most others and it is not obtrusive.
At this price point, the touchscreen performance and display quality are lacking. The capacitive film creates an excessively dull and dim effect, especially while viewing color content like maps, which is a real deal breaker.
I am dissatisfied with the display screen as it lacks contrast, making it difficult to distinguish between roads and POIs. The display seems like technology from the early nineties.
The screen stopped allowing touch input and the buttons were not enough to make the device useful.
92% appreciated the ample storage capacity
It was easy for me to set up and transfer all the information from the old unit, including all the sensors.
85% found the interface intuitive and easy to use, but 15% found it confusing
A touchscreen is now a must-have.
The 1030 plus has a simple and quick touch screen swipe.
The interface of our product is confusing, despite having a lot of functionality.
The user interface is terrible.
84% praised its water resistance, but 16% experienced water damage
I found that the item does not seal properly and is not waterproof as advertised.
As more satellites went up, the GPS unit became amazingly accurate and spot on for land navigation.
