About Streamlight 66318 MicroStream 45-Lumen Everyday Carry Pocket Flashlight
Overall Feedback:
91% positive
72% appreciated its adjustable beam focus, although 28% found it limited
The light is well-built with a clip that allows mounting up or down, like in a pocket or on a hat brim.
I have an issue with the on/off switch of my handheld flashlight.
86% appreciated its long-lasting battery life, but 14% experienced quick drainage
I bought another flashlight and its original battery still holds a charge after 2 years.
After a year and a half, the third one failed regardless of the batteries used.
The flashlight has a problem with battery life as it turns off after 3-5 seconds of use, regardless of whether I press the button to lock on or hold it for 3 or more seconds for half-click.
87% were satisfied with its brightness, while 13% found it dim
The brightness level of the flashlight is perfect for my work in industrial control panels.
I find the AAA powered light pretty bright and perfect for me as I use it in confined spaces like network racks and vehicles. If it were brighter, it would be blinding.
I wish the light was a bit brighter, but it is still helpful in a pitch black scenario.
90% praised for its rugged construction, but 10% experienced durability issues
Carrying flashlights in my pocket for years has rounded the edges of the aluminum and worn the paint at the edges, but the lens never seems to get scratched and performance and reliability never diminish.
The flashlight is small, lightweight, durable and has an excellent pocket clip. It is also easy to change batteries.
I noticed that the company used to make indestructible flashlights but their quality control went downhill with this light.
Our company used to make indestructible flashlights, but the quality control went downhill with this light.
I experienced a complete defeat in my purchase due to the product malfunctioning.
I have experienced that the on/off switch is unreliable and once it fails, it cannot be fixed.
88% liked its comfortable grip and handling, though 12% found it awkward
I have an issue with the on/off switch of the light.
It is difficult for me and my family members to press the tail cap to turn the light to constant on.
70% liked the intuitive switch and interface, but 30% found it confusing
The tail switch is a dealbreaker for me. Even for a forward click without fully pressing the switch, its resistance is too strong.
I suggest redesigning the switch.
The switch is unreliable and fails to function properly. It won't stay on or come on at all. I have tried to diagnose the problem but have been unsuccessful.
As per other reviewers, the switch is very stiff.
90% liked its lightweight and compact design
The light is portable and lightweight, as it is compact and as wide as my palm.
I have found that these lights are very tough and can withstand direct hits to the concrete. Even after being dropped many times, they still shine bright, unlike other lights I have used that usually don't pass the drop test.
