About Kings County Tools Double Ratcheting Anvil Lopper
Overall Feedback:
96% positive
94% praised for its sharp cutting performance
I can cut thicker 3 to 4 inch branches with the loppers extended to give it torque and power due to the ratcheting action.
97% appreciated the long-lasting blade, though 3% experienced wear and tear
The product is durable with heavy duty construction and is top heavy.
I recommend this product to anyone trimming branches or bushes as it is durable.
The branch cutter is of high quality and cuts through dead or live branches cleanly and easily. The extendable arms allow me to cut at a good height without needing a ladder.
The tool is too heavy.
94% found it easy to use, but 6% found it difficult
I found this lopper very easy to use as it cut through tough wood stocks with ease and allowed me to cut over 12 foot long stocks into smaller sizes.
It took some time to get used to since I have only used shears before. However, it cuts through dead or live branches cleanly and easily.
The only downside of the product is the learning curve for figuring out how far to open the handles to get it to ratchet and not release.
91% liked the comfortable grip and ergonomic design, but 9% found it uncomfortable
Both my husband and I have arthritis, so the grip comfort of the hand-loppers may not be suitable for us.
I returned the product because it was not comfortable to grip.
84% appreciated its lightweight and portable design
89% praised for its built-in safety features

The Gatrol lopper cuts softwoods like butter even without extending the handles. Fast growing oak or maple will probably cut fairly easy, but slow growing wood of any type is more difficult to cut.
I noticed that the cutting blade is made of weak metal and scallops easily with minor cutting.
