About Corona FL 3470 Compound Action Bypass Lopper
Overall Feedback:
77% positive
78% praised for its sharp cutting performance, while 22% found it dull
I was able to clear about 20 feet of bamboo about 2 feet thick in no time using this lopper. Even my wife could cut with it without strain.
I have experienced an unpleasant situation while using the hand-lopper as the automatic movement of the handle and wrist causes the tool to extend while trying to make a cut, instead of staying in the short position.
80% appreciated the long-lasting blade, though 20% experienced wear and tear
My hand-loppers are still going strong after 6 years and the handles are still in good shape.
The handles collapse easily with moderate pressure, making them dangerous and likely to cause injury.
After using the loppers a few times, I noticed that they do not cut very well and often leave a small piece of bark or skin which is almost impossible to sever unless you twist the loppers.
After a day of average use, the retractable handles no longer lock securely in either the open or closed position.
While using the tool, it does not stay in the short position which causes problems while making a cut.
For a tool of this price and quality, the handles should be steel or at least cast aluminum.
74% found it easy to use, but 26% found it difficult
I have noticed that the tool keeps slipping out of the short position while making cuts, causing problems.
67% liked the comfortable grip and ergonomic design, but 33% found it uncomfortable
The neoprene handles of my hand-loppers are still intact and really comfortable.
The handle of the hand-lopper is uncomfortable to grip and it does not stay in the short position while using it, causing inconvenience while making a cut.
77% appreciated its lightweight and portable design
The loppers are easy to carry over a sizable yard to wherever I need to go.
69% praised for its built-in safety features, although 31% found them inadequate
The handles collapse easily under moderate pressure, making them dangerous and likely to cause injury.
After a day of average use, the retractable handles no longer lock securely in either the open or closed position, which is a safety concern.
The cutting power of these loppers is impressive compared to ones I've used in the past. They can cut through thick branches and saplings easily. I even used them to cut old, dead branches from my hemlocks, which is usually difficult. The Corona DualLINK with ComfortGEL Grip Extendable Heavy Duty Bypass Limb and Branch Lopper had no problems at all.
I noticed that the cutting blade is made of weak metal and scallops easily with minor cutting.
