I have used several edgers that cost the same but didn't hold up. This one is worth every penny.
I found the spade to be sturdy and was worried it might bend while working on rocks below the surface in my yard, but it did not. Based on my experience, I can say that the hand-edger is durable.
I have found that the edger is very strong and doesn't flex at joints, even when edging through heavy clay soils.
