About SolidWork Professional Hand Caulking Gun
Overall Feedback:
91% positive
86% appreciated the sturdy build quality, although 14% encountered durability issues
I find the material and build quality of this caulking gun to be superior. The frame, handle, and trigger are well-engineered, and the springs provide the right tension for the trigger pull and release.
The ends of the rotating caulk bed are riveted on SW, but only pressure welded on the NB, and it is weaker.
I compared the product with caulk from other hardware stores that costs under 5 bucks and found no difference in application.
The mechanism is excellent, but the product is not dripless.
74% praised the precise caulk flow control, but 26% found it difficult to adjust
The controls are smooth and allow for a quick thumb release to minimize excess pressure when pausing between caulks.
The caulk gun is easy to use with a smoothly flowing squeeze handle, but it is not completely dripless.
The caulk gun is advertised as drip-less, meaning it retracts just a bit when you stop pumping, so the caulk doesn't continue to flow, and I shouldn't have to manually release the plunger.
I find it difficult to depress the rear lever to stop the flow of caulk, which is a negative feedback regarding the caulk flow control feature of hand-caulking-guns.
82% found the grip comfortable to hold, while 18% experienced fatigue
The handles of the two guns look almost identical, with slight out curvature on the stationary (back handle) on SW, but no curve on NB.
71% found it quiet and easy to use, while 29% experienced loud operation
The engineered trigger system of this caulking gun means I use less power for the same amount of caulk. This could be related to the noise level of the gun, which is not explicitly mentioned but can be inferred.
I notice that the caulking gun makes an annoying clacking sound every time I squeeze the grip to release the caulking.
It takes 38 squeezes to go full length of the tube on NB and 46 squeezes on SW. This indicates that the noise level may be high for both products, especially for SW.
81% liked the lightweight and portable design, while 19% found it too heavy
Both guns are similarly priced, indicating that they are equally portable.
84% praised the easy squeezing, while 16% found it difficult to squeeze
The squeeze handle flows smoothly without effort, but it is not completely dripless.
The hand-caulking-gun is extremely effortless to squeeze with its 26:1 ratio.
On NB, I need 38 squeezes and on SW, I need 46 squeezes to go full length of the tube, indicating a difference in ease of use between the two hand caulking guns.
I find the material and build quality of this caulking gun to be superior. The frame, handle, and trigger are well-engineered, and the springs provide the right tension for the trigger pull and release.
