About Edward Tools Drip Free Smooth Rod 10 oz Caulk Gun
Overall Feedback:
71% positive
72% appreciated the sturdy build quality, although 28% encountered durability issues
I ordered this product because other caulk guns couldn't handle the concrete. It served its purpose and I would buy it again.
I noticed that the caulking gun's build quality was poor. Upon removing the cartridge, I saw that the piston rod was slightly bent. When using it a second time, I noticed that nothing was coming out. After applying more pressure, the rivets on the handle gave way, separating from the tube holder. It was just punched together, not riveted.
I noticed that the caulk gun is missing the caulk tube punch and tube tip cutter that most caulk guns have.
72% praised the precise caulk flow control, but 28% found it difficult to adjust
I had purchased 2 other caulk guns which were not strong enough to put the crete out of the tube. This product is strong enough to put the crete out of the tube.
I used a viscous adhesive cartridge and it required a lot of effort to get the job done.
88% found the grip comfortable to hold, while 12% experienced fatigue
I found that the release trigger was very hard to release, indicating poor grip comfort of the hand caulking gun.
79% liked the lightweight and portable design, while 21% found it too heavy
I found it difficult to release the trigger on the caulking gun, which could affect its portability and convenience.
70% praised the easy squeezing, while 30% found it difficult to squeeze
I found it difficult to release the trigger, indicating that the squeezing mechanism of the hand-caulking-gun is not easy to use.
The main problem with this caulking gun is cleaning. It has deep gear teeth, spring loaded slides holding the tubes, some unnecessary small radius concave curves added to the back of the piston head, and a screw on connector attaching the tube holder to the gun with small crevices.
