To get a smooth, uniform caulking bead, consistent pressure and flow are key. It's nearly impossible to achieve this with a hand caulk gun.
I can adjust the flow speed of the caulk gun to set it for the desired size of the bead.
The anti drip function always bursts the bottom of a caulk tube.

It takes some time to get used to the speed at which the tool pushes the tube. But, at a lower speed setting in a decent temperature range around 80 degrees f everything went well.
My only complaint with the gun is that it doesn't have a built-in cutter, which would be nice but is not a deal breaker.
If I open the tube fully, put the speed adjustment on the highest setting, and fully squeeze the trigger, it will make a huge mess and the product will come out very fast.
