There are two snap-on blade guards, each with a different length guard, totaling four lengths, but they are all pretty short.
The slider can easily fall back to a longer setting from a close setting, which may not bother me much but could be a struggle for someone who tends to do close shearing.

I advise rinsing the blades under running water and oiling/lubricating them to maintain sharpness and smooth cutting. Note that the clipper blades do not come with oil.
It's not easy to clean and maintain the clippers. The top comes off easily, but putting it back on can be a little challenging.

I am satisfied with the battery life of the hair clipper. I have traveled across continents to work and one charge was good for me a few times abroad and on my way back home. I also appreciate the battery life display which gives a reasonable estimate of how much battery remains on different cutter speed so I would know if I could risk not charging it before use.
When fully charged, the clipper runs for about 3 hours, depending upon the speed setting.
The battery life is not good and it loses life fairly quickly. In just 2 minutes, it went from 99 to 93. The clippers came with a charge level of 57 so it didn't take long to charge.
