The fit is very tight to the barrel and there is a nock in the front that seats against the factory bead sight, which anchors it in place and ensures sight alignment does not change.
The gun sight holds firmly onto the barrel of Mossberg 500 and is highly visible.
I faced difficulty fitting the gun-sight on the standard 12 ga. barrel and it was almost impossible to rotate into alignment once on the barrel.
