The sight can handle the heat and is mounted on the gas block rail, which is the only mounting point on my rifle for the front side.
I appreciate the rock-solid mount and flush front of the sight with the handguard, which is better than other options that overhang or sit away from the edge.

The sight is not adjustable for elevation, but when zeroed at 50/200 yards, it is wholly adequate out to 300 yards.
There is an annoying glare from the bottom of the large aperture when light is overhead. Tapering the inner rim of the aperture would help eliminate this.
