About Feyachi RS-30 Reflex Sight
78% liked the mounting compatibility, but 22% didn't
I can easily line up the red dot with my Feyachi flip up iron sights. The viewing area is large and there are options for reticle shape and brightness. It's easy to activate and turn off and doesn't interfere with the iron sights.
I have used the sight for the past four turkey seasons on my Benelli Nova 12 Gauge using 3 1/2" Winchester XTR Long Beard shells. It has held zero and handled the recoil without issue.
I found that the elevation spring was not seated correctly, causing the elevation screw to crossthread into the nut.
76% highlighted the field of view, however, 24% were disappointed
On a full sunlight late spring day, the sight lacked visibility and could have been one step brighter.
74% were satisfied with the battery life, but 26% weren't
I put the sight on my gun and kept it in the safe with the power on. I believe the auto off function is after 1 hour.
During my session in 20-30 degree weather, the gun-sight randomly shut off repeatedly after about 30 minutes.
If you put the gun-sight in a hard case or a soft case, it turns the sight on and the battery will be dead when I go to use it.
78% appreciated the adjustment mechanism, while 22% disagreed
Windage and elevation are reversed, so up is down and down is up, same with right is left and left is right.
I faced a problem with the elevation adjustment mechanism while adjusting the reticle to co-witness iron sights. I found that the elevation spring was not seated correctly, causing the elevation screw to crossthread into the nut. I took out the spring and nut and flipped the nut, properly seating the spring.
