I received the pepper without a cap and a protective barrier. Now, I need a container to keep it fresh.
I used up my older bottle of the same brand of white pepper but saved a tiny amount to compare the flavor with this new one. I found that the new one has a super hot bite to my tongue that kicks in about 3 or 4 seconds later, so I immediately grabbed some olive oil to stop the burning reaction. I am thinking that perhaps as it ages the heat will dissipate over time.
