I find it difficult to load grease tubes and clean the small areas of the gun. The bleeder screw also does not work efficiently. This shows my negative experience with respect to cleaning and maintenance of the grease-gun.
73% found it comfortable to hold and use
The grease gun is ergonomically comfortable to carry in my hand with a long grease hose and a shoulder strap for convenience.
A locking adapter like lock-in-lube would make it even better at staying connected.
81% appreciated its rugged construction, though 19% experienced breakage
The grease gun leaks grease every time I disconnect it, and the seal at the rear of the tube leaks a lot of grease when I pull back the plunger.
I have experienced the plunger rod becoming dislodged from its notch multiple times while loading grease tubes into the gun, causing the spring to expand and launch the grease tube holder from the gun.
I am dissatisfied with the Makita grease gun's proprietary hose, which limits me to using only the company's hoses.
83% found it easy to reload and operate, while 17% had difficulties
The product is ergonomically designed and comfortable to carry in hand. It also has a long grease hose and a strap for shoulder carry.
The product is a masterpiece and easy to prime before release.
I can push out a whole tube of grease in less than a minute with the grease gun.
I find the product easy to use and it performs the task well.
I have difficulty in loading grease tubes in the gun.
74% liked the long and flexible hose, while 26% found it too stiff
While loading the grease canister, I need to be cautious as it protrudes from the lip almost half an inch and must be pushed firmly to engage the threads.
I have noticed that the Makita grease gun has a different threaded fitting on the tool body, which makes most replacement hoses unusable.
The plunger is not working.
66% praised for its leak-free design, though 34% experienced spills
If you're not careful, the charging rod can get knocked out of its locked-open notch and cause an enormous mess.
I have personally faced the issue of the grease gun leaking too much, causing a mess multiple times.
I bought and installed a LockNLube coupler right out of the box along with a LockNLube 90 degree coupler for use when necessary. The LockNLube coupler simply clips firmly to the 90 adapter.
The tool is compatible with most air tool brands, but some require more force to depress the ball.
