About Lubrimatic Plews & Edelmann 30-800 4500 PSI, Pistol Style
Overall Feedback:
78% positive
66% liked the variety of compatible accessories, while 34% found limited options
I was unable to remove the zerk from the tip of the grease gun after it broke and got stuck, with the threads also getting stuck in the machine.
68% appreciated the easy cleaning process
I have used this grease gun on various applications including lawnmower wheel bearings, trailer wheel bearings, marine boat lifts, surface cleaner bearing housings, boat engines, and tractor chassis.
74% found it comfortable to hold and use, while 26% experienced fatigue
The Tee handle is easy to grip and is locked in place with a quick release push tab for switching grease cartridges.
It took me multiple attempts to remove the hose fitting, but it became easier after a few attempts. However, I still needed a prying tool.
76% appreciated its rugged construction, though 24% experienced breakage
I have noticed that the gun is built well and sold at a fair price, indicating good durability.
I found that the hose's internal structure was damaged at the bend and it will leak after assembling the grease gun.
76% found it easy to reload and operate, while 24% had difficulties
The Tee handle is easy to grip even with greasy fingers and is locked in place with a quick release push tab for switching grease cartridges.
I found that the grease zerk fitting connector was difficult to remove after greasing and impossible to remove with the first use. I had to use a pair of wire snipes to leverage on the zerk fitting and the hose end prying the fitting to release it. After three or four times the hose fitting was easier to remove, but still required a prying tool.
67% liked the large grease capacity, but 33% needed frequent refills
I was able to grease the gate using this grease gun and saved myself a $120 trip charge that the gate installer would have charged me to do the same thing.
I prefer a mess-free experience while greasing stuff, as I have had negative experiences with messy grease guns in the past.
67% liked the long and flexible hose, while 33% found it too stiff
The grease gun has a traditional fixed tube nozzle and a flexible tube nozzle, which can be used depending on the fitting. It is useful for hard to reach fittings.
The flex hose included makes greasing difficult to reach fittings much easier, but it does get kinked in the packaging.
The gun hose has a tight U bend which causes the external covering to crinkle, but it does not impact the grease flow.
The hose was severely bent while in the packaging.
68% praised for its leak-free design, though 32% experienced spills
Using the grease gun was easy and there were no mess or leaks. It was also easy to assemble.
I put PTFE tape on everything threaded to prevent leaks and mess. I am satisfied with the result.
I noticed that the hose was broken and should have been returned because it was bent but not leaking.
The hose was broken and should have been returned because it was bent but not leaking.
67% praised for its quiet operation, while 33% found it too loud
I want the grease gun to be mess-free, meaning it should not be noisy or messy during use.
It took almost 30 minutes to get the tip off my gun, indicating that the grease-gun has a high noise level, making it difficult to work with.
I noticed that the plunger would not stay back and would release the grease cartridge.
The plunger releases the grease cartridge and does not stay back.
66% praised for its high pressure output, while 34% found it too weak
There is no oozing in storage like my last one and the tube threads are deep cut, indicating good pressure output of the grease-gun.
I noticed that the plunger kept releasing and emptying the grease cartridge.
I put anti-sieze on all of the threads including the main tube before putting it together. Some reviews said it leaked, but maybe the anti-sieze helped seal it up better.
To release the grease fitting, I need to back it off about a half turn, but it is held very well by the couple.
