The grass clippers are huge, strong, and sharp. They can cut through things bigger than intended, including viney St. Augustine roots, weeds, and small sticks.
These shears have a good cutting performance. I used them on a concrete driveway and a curb with ropy stolons of wire grass lying against rough concrete. I was able to snip 25 feet in a minute with no fatigue, which is much better than using a string trimmer.
