I have installed over 50 of these particular golf club grips and have only lost one. To avoid issues like lumpiness and tearing, I suggest using a ton of solvent on the tape and filling the grip up with solvent to make sure the grip is coated heavily inside. Smoothing out the edge of the butt of the shaft can also help avoid snagging the inner rubber. Overall, I am satisfied with my experience and confidence in installing these grips.
