About SAKURA - 37488 Gelly Roll Classic 08 (Medium Pt.) 3 Pack Pen
Overall Feedback:
69% positive
74% liked the waterproof ink, whereas 26% found it less effective
I wanted to use gel-ink-pens on top of my watercolors after they dried, but the jelly roll had trouble going over the watercolor pigment and the thick grooves on the paper.
65% liked the durable tip, while 35% found it wore down
The pens are all the same size and the point isn't super fine, so I suggest choosing a different one if you're looking for a very fine tip.
My pen tip scratches up the mark that I place and it takes time to dry.
65% praised the ink quality, but 35% found it prone to smudging
Sometimes the ink appears lighter than it should be and it doesn't cover the paint at all.
The ink is slow to start flowing and not reliable. I have to keep going over the same spots/letters repeatedly.
The ink quality is not good as it takes a few coats to get it at its best white, which still is not great.
The ink quality of Gelly Roll is weak and not smooth. It took repeated tries to get the ink flowing out and the ink is not readable.
75% appreciated the quick drying time, but 25% found it dried slowly
I find that the gel-ink-pens take too long to dry and the tip scratches up the mark frequently.
The ink chipped not three seconds after I drew it, indicating that the gel-ink-pens have a very short drying time.
It takes over 30 minutes for the pen to dry adequately, otherwise it will just move the first layer of gel around.
The ink chipped not three seconds after I drew it, the gel-ink-pens have a very short drying time.
72% liked the wide range of colors, but 28% didn't
I found a white gel pen that works effectively on black paper and canvases, showing full color immediately. Other similar gel pens appear watery and take several seconds to show the color completely.
I wanted to use gel-ink-pens on top of my watercolors after they dried, but the jelly roll had trouble going over the watercolor pigment and the thick grooves on the paper.
I tried to ignore the negative reviews, but unfortunately, the pens leaked and caused damage to my clothes. They are not waterproof, so others should avoid carrying them.
