I compared the pen with knockoffs and found that unlike many knockoffs, the ink dries at the tip and needs to be scratched off at the bottom to get the ink flowing again.

The pen smudges easily and clumps often, which looks ugly on the paper. It's also annoying when I can't highlight right away or it smudges a lot.
I find that the pen smudges easily, although it writes better and looks nicer than other pens.
I have noticed that the pen produces smudges while writing because the ink flows out of it too heavily at times.
If you touch the ink while writing, it smudges. But if you leave it to dry for 30 seconds, there is no smudging on the paper.
