I have complained that the plate in the middle is not fully rounded, causing the gate hinges to stop after a short distance. As a result, the gate can only open 30 degrees in either direction instead of the intended 90 degrees.
I had to pre-drill a large hole and manually turn the hinge screws using vice grips or a pipe. Otherwise, I would have had to pre-drill an even larger hole to use the machine screw hinges with nuts and washers. This shows my bad experience with the adjustability of the gate-hinges.
