I was able to detect gas at a concentration of 40 ppm near the bathroom closed door. When I opened the door and went into the bathroom, the sensor started climbing up to 160 ppm.
I detected methane in the entry to my home and localized it to the gas line leading to the kitchen range from behind the fridge.
I tested this gas detector with a vent hose from a motorcycle fuel tank and it detected the vapor. It also went off when I tested it with a butane lighter. Additionally, I found a minor gas leak in an attic fitting.
