About Duxtop Built-in Induction Cooktop, Portable Countertop Burner
Overall Feedback:
72% positive
79% praised the consistent heat distribution, while 21% experienced hotspots
Over the last few months, I have noticed a decrease in power output and strange smells coming up.
I found that placing a window cover with a foil weave inside on top of the cooktop activated it by induction and caused a fire, indicating that it is not safe to use.
78% liked the ample cooking space, while 22% found it limited
If anything is placed on top of the cooktop, it can activate the on/off button and inadvertently fire up the burner. I found this out when a window cover with a foil weave caught fire.
80% praised the sturdy build quality
I appreciate the cooktop's low profile design, which allows me to cover and use the entire counter when not cooking.
The gas cooktop is sturdy enough to use with confidence on our granite countertop and light enough to stow away when we have guests.
I gave 4 stars for install because it did not come with a template, but it was easy to use.
92% liked the easy cleaning design, but 8% found it difficult to clean
The grills are heavy and the stove is difficult to clean.
72% appreciated the reliable ignition system, though 28% experienced issues
I cook all types of things in a short amount of time, similar to cooking on a gas top.
I found out that the cooktop can be a fire hazard if anything is placed on top of it, as it can be inadvertently activated. This happened to me when a window cover caught on fire.
74% appreciated the quiet operation, though 26% found it loud
When I operate the cooktop, there is a slight whirring sound that can be ignored after a while.
The noise level is louder than a gas stove due to the fan and humming.
The cooktop is quiet for all other pans except for the wok, which makes a strange sound with the CookLove pan.
On power levels above 5, there is high frequency noise on the cooktop.
The gas-cooktop makes a high pitch sound, barely audible, and can be compared to a gas powered lawn mower/leaf blower.
I have noticed that the cooktop produces a loud buzzing sound and a high pitch whine that is extremely annoying and can be heard by everyone, including the kids in my house.
72% appreciated the added safety features, although 28% found them inadequate
I use a round piece of parchment on the glass surface to protect it from the pan/skillet.
The cooktop is easy to clean and safer to use as only the cooking vessel heats.
I am concerned about the safety lock feature of the cooktop. It doesn't seem like a safety feature.
Without protection, the cooktop is a safety hazard.
I found the cooktop to have independent knob controls and reasonable spacing of the burners, allowing me to heat up multiple dishes simultaneously and saving time. The power level control was incredibly flexible, making it easy for my kid to grasp different cooking techniques.
