I noticed that the hose expanded like a balloon when filled and seemed like it would come apart.

The hose rolls out nicely but can't do sharp corners and only gently bends around them. It can't be rolled too tight due to limited flexibility.
The hose efficiently delivers adequate flow volume with its strong multi-ply construction and 1 1/2" inside diameter.

I expect better connectors on the ends of the hose as they seem to be the weakest part and the first thing I will need to fix when they break.
The male end of the hose separated at the threading, causing low pressure flow and massive leakage. The failed connector now wastes about half the water.
