About STYDDI Garden Hose Repair Connector Fitting
Overall Feedback:
88% positive
79% liked the adjustable design, but 21% found it limited
The fittings are of much better quality than the flimsy rolled sheetmetal hose fittings available at Lowe's and make a good upgrade for cheap hoses.
I found a helpful tip for making the installation of connectors easier. By placing the cut end of the hose in hot water and adding soap to the metal tips, it was easy to insert the connectors into the hose.
I attached the connectors easily, but all 5 of my STYDDI connections leaked.
At my new home, the connectors slipped off and leaked water all night, causing a significant increase in my water and sewage bill.
I am frustrated with the product's compatibility with a 3/4 hose. It only fits a 5/8 hose. Someone should look into this issue.
Within 6 months of use, the hose bib connector got seized.
85% appreciated its corrosion-resistant materials
The screw-clamps have been water-tight for 6 months and are better than a crimped hose fitting.
These hose repair ends are significantly stronger than the ones from Home Depot.

The screw-clamps have been water-tight for 6 months and are of better quality than a crimped hose fitting.
The connectors cannot be tightened around the entire hose circumference on the brass insert placed in the hose, even if screwed to the max.
89% liked the hassle-free installation
I suggest placing the cut end of the garden hose in hot water to soften the rubber and adding dish soap around the metal tips for easy installation of the connectors. This helped me to tighten the screws evenly and complete the installation.
The fittings are of better quality than flimsy rolled sheetmetal hose fittings and make a good upgrade for cheap hoses.
74% praised for its secure grip, though 26% found it loose
I have not faced any problem with the clamps catching on stuff while dragging the hose through the yard as they are rounded enough.
I noticed that the construction of these hose pieces are fully engaged to each other and there is no way to break it. Additionally, on the hose connect end there is a groove and the clamp clamps down on the hose and forces it into the groove. This shows my positive sentiment towards the grip strength of the garden-hose-parts-connectors.
At my new home, the connector slipped off and leaked water all night long.
86% liked the universal hose compatibility, but 14% found it didn't fit their hose
I connected a repaired hose with one of these to an existing Craftsman rubber hose. However, over the season, a chemical reaction caused them to become inseparable.
90% praised for its leak-free performance, while 10% experienced some leakage
I fixed two leaking hoses of slightly different diameters using garden hose parts connectors. It is effective in preventing leaks.
The hose connector is a better way to attach the hose and it does not leak.
All 5 of my connections leaked even though the connectors attached easily.
At my new home, the connector slipped off and leaked water all night, resulting in a high water bill.
80% appreciated the high-quality materials, but 20% found them cheaply made
The connectors do not fit tightly around the entire hose circumference, even when screwed to the max, which was mentioned by the user.
I used PB Blaster but it did not work and the existing threads on the non-repaired hose end were ruined.
74% praised for its high-pressure resistance, though 26% experienced some pressure drops
The screw-clamps have been water-tight for 6 months and match the quality of a crimped hose fitting.
I have noticed that the connector cannot withstand water pressure and does not stay on when the hose is tight.
My hose burst after a few days, indicating that it was not able to withstand the pressure.

The hose burst after a few days, indicating it couldn't withstand the pressure.

My shutoff valve seized up and broke off, indicating that it was not able to withstand pressure.
