About Four UnCles 4-Channel Automatic Oil Changer Vacuum Fluid Extractor Pneumatic/Manual
Overall Feedback:
91% positive
85% appreciated its compact size, although 15% found it bulky
The tubes are made of plastic, preventing them from being shaped by the engine unlike other materials that become misshapen and unusable.
I noticed that all the lines are stored in a sealed bottom tube attached to the unit.
I believe the product design is flawed.
84% found it easy to operate
It is very easy to use the pump without bending or going underneath the car. The tube can be easily inserted and oil can be pumped by hand with only a few pumps required to get all the oil from the engine.
It is easy to use with lots of options for different hose sizes and lengths required for most typical jobs done in a garage.
The system is easy to use and comes with many fittings and attachments to make oil changes easy on any work surface.
It does a good job and is easy to use, except for the issue with the fittings for the hoses.
82% liked its fast flow rate, but 18% thought it was slow
After pumping 15 times before opening the drain and then giving it a few pumps after, the fluid flows quite smoothly.
I drained about 6 quarts of oil in 30 minutes, which is equivalent to 5 minutes a quart.
83% praised the durable hose, while 17% experienced hose failures
The connections to the pump seem sturdy, but it remains to be seen how long they will last.
The fittings for the hoses are not tight enough and came undone easily, causing the fluid to splash everywhere.
83% liked its leak-resistant design, but 17% experienced leaks
After using the fluid extractor, I found a massive puddle of engine oil that had leaked out of the bottom.
During the second oil change, the product started leaking from underneath.
If any fluid is left in the unit when done, it leaks all over the floor as it does not seal on the bottom.
I noticed that the product is leaking from the bottom.
76% appreciated its quiet operation, although 24% found it noisy
I find it amusing that the oil vacuum pump is really good at sucking.
I noticed that the oil extractor started making a gurgling noise when it got to the end of the oil flow. This indicates that the noise level is high when the oil flow is ending.
The oil extractor makes a gurgling noise at the end of the oil flow, indicating a high noise level.
72% appreciated the precise pressure control
I haven't tried it with the compressor because I'm afraid it will overdo the pressure. But manual pumping is still good as long as the system is closed to build pressure.
The pump mechanism worked fine and held decent vacuum pressure. It was able to get almost all of the oil out of the car in 5-10 minutes.
I used the garage-shop-fluid-evacuators for an oil change on my 2018 S5 and it worked well.
