About Torin ATRXF8308B Pneumatic Mechanic Stool
Overall Feedback:
83% positive
85% liked the adjustable height and position
I found the self-adjusting seat great for moving around in a small crawl space floor.
I faced an issue with the lever for the seat height which was flopping around. I decided to fix it myself by removing the seat base and bending the tabs to secure the lever in place. I also provided before and after photos.
82% found it comfortable to use for extended periods, but 18% experienced discomfort in the leg area
I find this rolling stool very comfortable for sitting and working with tools underneath me, with the added benefit of being able to slide around a bit.
I weigh half of the weight limit and found the seat small despite its high weight limit.
82% appreciated the solid build quality, though 18% experienced some wear and tear
Despite the high weight limit, the seat is small which could concern heavier users.
The stools are good, but the manufacturer needs to improve their quality control. Amazon warehouse should test products before slapping their Inspected sticker on them.
Right out of the box, the product is of bad quality and the pneumatic cylinder does not work.
I encountered a defective part with the rolling stool, which could make it unusable for someone uncomfortable with disassembling.
83% found it easy to assemble and maintain, but 17% experienced issues with finding replacement parts
I found the product easy to assemble but had a problem with the lever for the seat height. I decided to fix it myself by bending down two tabs. I provided before and after photos and fixed it in a minute. Based on my experience, the product can be said to have some issues with the lever.
I had a problem with the seat not adjusting height after assembly. I decided to take apart the seat and found a cap over the mechanism that the handle presses on. The cap was not made for the correct size and was causing the problem. I removed the cap and the problem was solved. The seat adjusts perfectly now.
I assembled the product but the pneumatic cylinder did not work, resulting in the product being about 12 inches off the ground.
80% praised for its stability and balance, while 20% experienced tipping issues
I never bent down the tabs to secure the lever into position.
The pneumatic cylinder not working causes instability as the product is about 12 inches off the ground.
83% appreciated the high weight capacity, though 17% experienced issues with stability at lower weights
The seat has a high weight limit but is small. I weigh half of the weight limit and my back end just fits. It may not work well for someone much bigger.

85% appreciated the solid build quality

I customized this creeper by stripping the cushion off and pop riveting some 20 gauge sheet metal to it to make an ultra low profile closet shuttle for my 8.5 quart ninja foodie. I am satisfied with the result.
