Overall Feedback:
75% positive
83% found it compatible
I found that the new opener is compatible with the old one and everything bolted up just fine. I had to swap out the main console button with the new one and replaced the wireless keypad with the new one. I reprogrammed everything with no problems. It works great!
I was able to use my old close confirm remotes because the module from the old unit plugged into the new one.
92% liked the quite operations
The new belt-driven model is very quiet and I can't hear it operating in the house overhead.
80% were satisfied with remote control range, whereas 20% were dissatisfied
I found the older unit's 'close confirm' remotes useful as they had an LED that blinked and beeped to confirm the door is closed, so I didn't have to wait in the driveway.
73% were impressed with safety sensors, yet 27% encountered issues
I had to replace the old sensor wiring due to initial motion detection issues, which was a bit of a hassle.
67% were impressed with the security features, while 33% weren't
I attached the J-shaped bar to the straight bar on the traveler using the last 2 holes, which made it less secure than it should be.
82% appreciated the speed
I can raise a 7 ft high x 9 ft wide garage door in 12.47 seconds with the opener.
I found that the new opener is compatible with the old one and everything bolted up just fine. I had to swap out the main console button with the new one and replaced the wireless keypad with the new one. I reprogrammed everything with no problems. It works great!
I discovered that the mounts of the garage-door-opener are different and I cannot just swap a new one in, and have to rebuild the mounting support completely.
I found that the garage door opener works well, is very quiet, and moves my 16-ft door smoothly. I was also able to program the built-in HomeLink door opener in my Subaru to operate with it.
I experienced a power failure and the unit lost its software configured stop point, despite successful use of the backup battery.
