I replaced the motor of the garage door opener and noticed that the old mounting bracket and rail lined up to the new opener. I left all the rails/chain in place and just replaced the motor, and can confirm it is compatible. The existing door sensors also worked with the new unit too.
API access for smart functionality was recently disabled, which means it no longer works with iPhones Homekit, Google Home, Home Assistant or other smart home functionality that allows me to use it conveniently via my phone or tablet.
I faced compatibility issues with my garage-door-openers. I couldn't pair the built-in 'visor remote' on my old Ford (2012) and my old Craftsman remotes won't work with the new motor.

I am impressed with the remote control range of the garage door opener. The remotes can raise and lower the door from a considerable distance, and I even tried it several houses away from my garage where the garage door was in sight, and it worked immediately.
I cannot use my standard remote controls with MyQ openers due to incompatibility.
