About Atoms ATR-1622BKW by Skylink 1/2HPF Garage Door Opener
Overall Feedback:
65% positive
63% found it compatible, however 37% faced problems
This garage door opener is only compatible with a 2.4 network and not a 5, which may be a problem for some users.
69% were satisfied with remote control range, whereas 31% were dissatisfied
I faced difficulty pairing the Skylink with my car remote. After following all the instructions and videos, I called customer service and found out that the product doesn't work with most cars built after 2019. This issue was not mentioned anywhere in the product description.
82% were impressed with safety sensors, yet 18% encountered issues
If the safety sensors of the garage-door-opener are not working, inverting the wires and plugging them in can be a solution.
When I blocked the safety beam, the green light turned off on the receiver, but the door continued to close. I expected the door to stop or blinking lights when the safety beam is blocked.
65% were impressed with the security features, while 35% weren't
I have noticed that the safety reverse feature of my garage-door-opener is not working properly. When I blocked the safety beam, the green light turned off on the receiver, but the door continued to close. I expected the door to stop or blinking lights when the safety beam is blocked.
65% appreciated the speed, yet 35% found it slow
I tried to adjust the force to speed up the opening and closing of the garage door, but it did not work.
The door open and close speed of this garage-door-opener is slower than other brands, which could be due to the smaller motor size.
The garage door opener has a plug on the side for the battery backup, which can be charged with any 12 volt battery like a power wheels battery and acts as a backup when power goes out.
I bought an add-on bridge unit to sync my garage-door-opener with in-car button systems on my older cars (1996) and it worked perfectly.
