About Redragon M612 Predator RGB Gaming Mouse
Overall Feedback:
86% positive
77% appreciated the long battery life
I am happy that my son has a comfortable and customizable tool like the mouse to take his gaming to the next level.
83% praised the durable cable, but 17% experienced signal loss
The cable is causing bigger drag resistance as it is not too soft. Ideally, it should be very soft so that it is not felt while playing.
If I plug in the mouse, it will only give inputs to the machine that the USB cable is plugged into, as I noticed that it prioritizes the hard connection.
80% appreciated the seamless dpi switching, though 20% found it slow
I can easily switch between 5 DPI levels mid-game, which has been a game-changer for me. I can adjust it on the fly depending on the situation.
The mouse has a default cycle between 500 and 4000 and an extra button on the bottom to switch between different user modes.
82% appreciated the comfortable grip, though 18% found it too small
I appreciate the ergonomic design and sturdy build quality of the mouse, which gives me peace of mind and makes me feel like the mouse can handle even the most enthusiastic gameplay.
The mouse has a well-designed surface with rubberized side grips for easy holding and quick transitions while playing. The left side base extension is perfect for resting your thumb and provides a natural grip.
The mouse shape is comfortable for medium to larger hands and depends on the grip style.
I find the ergonomics of the mouse unsuitable for me as the hump is higher than most mice relative to the height of the buttons in the front, which makes my fingers rest further to the right. This may be a personal preference and not a problem for everyone.
81% liked the customizable led lighting, but 19% found it too bright
Each profile has its own color, but the lighting defaults to one global preset that can be cycled by the assigned button on the back of my mouse.
84% praised for its pinpoint accuracy
I find the accuracy of the mouse good and love its appearance.
I can adjust the DPI levels on the fly depending on the situation, which shows the sensor accuracy is good enough to adjust accordingly. It's an experience-rich sentence.
81% praised the intuitive software, while 19% found it buggy
A software is required to access the full 8k DPI of my mouse.
The software for my mouse has no drivers in it.
I couldn't find any link or word about where to download the software from and how to use it. I will have to do the extra work to search the software and hopefully download it from the maker website.
80% liked the balanced weight distribution
The mouse has good weight, pleasant material for the hand, great DPI settings, and good ergonomics for its price.
When programming, I have a small complaint about how the settings work. I have to record, stop, and apply each button, which took me a moment to figure out how to make it stick.
I have a gaming mouse with 7 programmable buttons that can be used to set up macros and shortcuts, enhancing my gaming experience. It's a nice feature to have, especially at this price point.
