About Razer DeathAdder Essential Gaming Mouse.
Overall Feedback:
75% positive
64% appreciated the long battery life, though 36% experienced quick drain
I wish the mouse was a bit heavier, but I am satisfied with it considering the price.
The mouse lasted for about 5 months and the scroll wheel stopped working.
My mouse stopped working after two months. The scrolling wheel stopped working properly and I couldn't scroll down without it scrolling up as well.
68% praised the durable cable, but 32% experienced signal loss
The cord is cheap plasticized with lots of kinks in it from being wrapped up in the packaging.
71% appreciated the seamless dpi switching, though 29% found it slow
I use the scroll wheel to switch between weapons in games, but sometimes it switches to the secondary weapon and then back to the main weapon with no ammo, resulting in my death.
68% appreciated the comfortable grip, though 32% found it too small
For basic gaming or general use, the mouse has good ergonomics.
I admire the ergonomic design of the deathadders, but Razer is not good at designing a functional mousewheel.
I am considering buying another mouse because of the frustration caused by the wonky scroll wheel.
79% liked the customizable led lighting, but 21% found it too bright
I got this mouse because the cable of my Razer Naga (2014 model) frayed recently.
I believe that the longevity of the mouse should be prioritized over flashy lights and distractions, and the led lights should not be the primary focus.
65% praised the intuitive software, while 35% found it buggy
I was upset when the software installer automatically launched when I plugged in my mouse to my Windows PC, which made me reconsider buying Razer products in the future.
Razer support claims that the issue with the mousewheel is due to dust and can be fixed with a quick burst of an air duster.
72% liked the balanced weight distribution
The mouse feels great in my hand and has a decent weight, despite not being heavy.
I liked the lightweight and smooth mouse initially because of its weight and balance, but it broke after a month.
I like this mouse better because it does not have a rechargeable battery, but I get many hours out of a battery and do not have to dock it or hook it up to charge after every session. I have been using the same lithium battery for a week and it is still at 100% battery life.
