About Corsair Katar Pro XT Ultra-Light Gaming Mouse
66% appreciated the long battery life, though 34% experienced quick drain
I found the mouse comfortable, lightweight, and budget-friendly while performing well.
After 8 months, the scroll wheel started skipping and it became unbearable to use.
For me, the middle mouse button switch only lasts for 6 months to a year.
After using the mouse for one year with 9 hours of daily usage, it frequently disconnects and reconnects.
88% liked the customizable buttons
I appreciate the iCUE software for this gaming mouse, as it allows me to disable or re-assign the side buttons. This is a big deal for me, as I would constantly hit them accidentally on my old mouse and it caused a bunch of issues.
88% praised the durable cable, but 12% experienced signal loss
The cord feels loose and light, which may affect its durability over time, but it is easier to maneuver than a stiffer cord.
80% appreciated the comfortable grip, though 20% found it too small
The best thing about this mouse is the iCUE software, which allows me to disable or reassign the side buttons. I used to constantly hit them accidentally on my old mouse and it caused a bunch of issues.
The shape of the mouse resembles Logitech G Pro wired (or G102/G203/G304/G305) but I find it less comfortable for my small-ish hands due to the steeper "hump" on the back.
I prefer the shape of the Abyssus slightly for the palm bump as it is located all the way back towards the palm, whereas this mouse has it near the center.
89% liked the customizable led lighting
I appreciate the iCUE software of this gaming mouse, especially the ability to disable or reassign the side buttons' functionality. It was a big deal for me as I would constantly hit them accidentally on my old mouse and caused a bunch of issues.
87% praised for its pinpoint accuracy, while 13% experienced jittery movement
The 18K sensor on my mouse is very close to the 25K one on the G502.
The mouse was perfect for my hand, but it constantly disconnected and froze my computer until I unplugged it.
The mouse's squeaky wheel is very annoying and even gets past my noise canceling headphones.
I noticed that the mouse wheel makes a weird noise while scrolling, indicating poor sensor accuracy of the mouse. The mouse has poor sensor accuracy as the wheel makes a weird noise while scrolling.
71% praised the intuitive software, while 29% found it buggy
I have noticed that the Corsairs iCUE software is well put together compared to other lighting software I have seen. It is easy for me to set the light to a static color or turn it off entirely, but there are also programmable options available.
I had to return the mouse as it was not compatible with my operating system, rendering it useless.
iCUE software consumes a lot of laptop resources.
Setting the poll rate to 8ms helped, but it did not completely fix the issue.
