The chair is easy to assemble and the footrest is sturdy. Occasionally, the arms get loose while reclining, but it stops as it gets broken in.
My chair and the user's chair were assembled at the same time, following the same instructions, but there was a noticeable difference in function. My chair did not recline properly, and it was jerky and made squeaking noises like broken brakes on a car.
