About Xbox Elite Series 2 Core Wireless Gaming Controller Black
Overall Feedback:
74% positive
65% appreciated the long battery life, but 35% thought it was too short
According to their advertising, the Elite 2 has a battery life of 40hrs, while the Edge only gets around 4-5hrs.
The controller can be charged through a USB cable, but once the battery dies, it becomes useless unless I open it up surgically.
67% liked the solid build quality, but 33% thought it felt flimsy
I have noticed quality issues with the controller such as barely working bumpers and stick drift after use. Despite this, I love the controller because of its paddle layout and weight. I suggest adding more robust buttons and bumpers.
I removed a star because one of the additional thumbsticks was missing.
76% praised for its customization possibilities
I appreciate the customization options of the gaming-accessories, such as the ability to customize any button on the controller using the Xbox Accessories Software on Windows.
I have a gaming controller with a lot of customization options, including paddles and software on xbox/pc.
65% praised for its comfortable grip, but 35% found it awkward to hold
Avoiding the trigger locks with my index fingers can be annoying depending on how I grip the controller. There is no way to push in the trigger locks.
61% appreciated the quiet operation, but 39% found it noisy
The wireless version of the controller intermittently drops out. This is the first time I have experienced this with an XBOX controller.
73% appreciated the accurate sensor tracking, though 27% experienced lag
Playing Xbox cloud games is stunning with the controller's super precise controls.
My kid complained about the controller having 'stick drift' during the first week, which means the sensor precision was not accurate.
64% liked the lightweight and portable design, but 36% found it bulky
I have used the controllers and noticed that they are heavy.
The weight of the controller is more than 300 grams, whereas the basic controller was about 295 grams with AA batteries.
The product description was misleading as it did not come with rechargeable batteries as mentioned. Instead, it came with regular AA Duracell batteries.
