About HyperX Cloud Stinger 2 Gaming Headset
Overall Feedback:
77% positive
68% appreciated the long battery life, but 32% thought it was too short
I have been using the headset since September 2023 and it has been good up until June 2024.
I find it difficult to keep the cable straight and the twists have caused permanent bends.
As a Triage Nurse, I need my HyperX set to stay on in case there are a few minutes between calls. However, it constantly shuts itself off, which is not suitable.
74% liked the solid build quality, but 26% thought it felt flimsy
The headset has a solid build quality, great sound for general media, rotating ear cups for easy cleaning, and a responsive microphone with good background noise filtering.
The HyperX Cloud Stinger 2 Core headphones are built with high-quality materials that can withstand everyday wear and tear.
The build quality and plastics are better than the Stinger 1, but the headband adjustments and hinges are quite loose compared to Generation 1. The headphone moves around even with a simple push.
My headset cable is rubbery and gets twisted a lot, causing permanent bends.
77% praised for its comfortable grip, but 23% found it awkward to hold
I can wear these headphones for hours on end without experiencing any discomfort due to their lightweight design with soft ear cups and a padded headband that reduces pressure on my ears and head.
The cable used in the headsets is rubbery and gets twisted a lot.
The headphones are useless for competitive FPS games as all sounds blend into one and it's difficult to identify specific sounds or their direction.
74% appreciated the quiet operation, but 26% found it noisy
These headphones are useless for competitive FPS games as all sounds blend into one and it's difficult to identify specific sounds or their direction.
I experienced inconvenience as the audio would shoot up to ridiculous levels that I couldn't manually reach.
The built-in mic is bad. When I switched to these from a 5 year old pair of steel series headphones, people told me that I sounded like I got a McDonalds drive through mic to talk on.
I noticed that the combined sound from L and R speakers with mono audio is not perfect and the sound is low.
71% appreciated the accurate sensor tracking, though 29% experienced lag
The microphone is way cleaner than usual gaming headsets and even low-end condenser mics I have seen.
The sensor precision is poor. Footsteps can only be heard from within 10ft and in-game voices are inaudible from more than 20ft.
The microphone quality is not up to the mark.
86% liked the lightweight and portable design
I can wear the lightweight headset for 8 hours a day without any problems.
To get the best audio, I cannot wear most gaming glasses or a ballcap.
