I noticed that this filter has poor longevity. Within a few weeks, the airflow was much lower than the name brand I used before. Within two months, the airflow was so restricted and the noise was so loud that I thought something was really wrong. I had to replace it with the name brand MERV13 and all was quiet again, airflow is normal. That was a few weeks ago, and the new filter is still quiet unlike this product which was horribly loud within two weeks.
I am on my third filter within weeks and glad that it catches all the finer dust particles, but unhappy with its longevity.
I suggest that high MERV rating filters should have a warning or notification about potential furnace damage.
