I use the medium and highest setting of the foot massager for my calf and feet respectively. The squeezing quickly helps the swelling to go down and it squeezes and releases and then squeezes harder the next time doing a slow build to maximum tightness.
I was surprised by the intensity of the massager. Level 2 works for me but the highest level is comparable to a machine at the lymphedema clinic.
At any intensity setting, I found the compression uncomfortable and even painful at first.

I found the foot massager to have good customization options. The control with the inflation motor is large and heavy, but easy to handle and manage. Additionally, the air inflation tubes attached to the sleeves are heavy duty and will not detach without very rugged use.
