The lid I got with my first Home Blendtec was great - thick, rigid, and easy to slap on the jar. However, when I bought a commercial Blendtec with three jars, the lids were flimsy and became harder to put on as the jars warped in the dishwasher. I ordered a new jar with a new lid design that worked perfectly for the new jar and fit all the old ones that had warped.
The plastic lid keeps coming off and sometimes falls into the smoothie jar. I need to watch it carefully to avoid crushing it.
