About OXO Good Grips Chopper
Overall Feedback:
73% positive
83% highlighted the safety features, but 17% found them lacking
When reattaching the blade to the screw, be careful not to turn beyond the click point as it can be stripped out.
83% liked the low noise level, however, 17% found it noisy
I find the product extremely frustrating to use, possibly due to a high noise level or other issues.
I found that pounding the knob with my fist reduces jams, although using the palm heel of my hand makes it louder and causes more jams.
75% highlighted the efficiency
The food-chopper produces fantastically fine chopped product, perfect for sauce bases or fine soups.
This chopper works great and can chop up anything in four or five push downs or in 10 seconds or less.
The OXO food chopper works quickly and efficiently, handling up to 8-9 cloves of garlic at a time with no trouble. It also works well for ginger (cut into chunks, first).
75% found it easy to use
I find the chopper easy to use for mincing quickly and effectively.
77% liked the easy cleaning
I can completely disassemble the food-chopper, making it very easy to clean. I throw all the parts on the top shelf of the dishwasher.
Taking apart and cleaning the chopper is very easy. It can be put in the dishwasher for easy cleaning.
The food-chopper is easy to take apart and clean, and it is safe for kids to help out in the kitchen as long as they are being supervised.
It's very easy to clean since the cup and blade surroundings come off.
Cleaning the food chopper is easy as long as it is disassembled and cleaned before food dries on.
I appreciate the ease of cleaning this chopper. The chopper blades come right out, making cleaning a breeze and preventing food from getting stuck in the unit.
76% appreciated the durability, while 24% had durability issues
I have experienced that the product is functional but not very long lasting. Two of them broke on me, each lasting about 2 years.
82% liked the design
The new food-chopper has a sturdier design, is easier to clean and the blades are sharp, which makes it chop beautifully.
I appreciate the chopper's design, specifically the curved shape that provides more stress points to handle the abuse.
The design of the food chopper is almost perfect, with a measuring cup base and a silicone top for storing items.
82% liked the size and capacity, but 18% found it too small
The chopper's capacity is smaller than what I'm used to, so I have to cut food into smaller portions and chop multiple batches.
81% highlighted the blade sharpness, but 19% found them dull
I find that the blades require a lot of force to break the skin of a tomato or onion and are not very sharp.
The blades of this food-chopper are super sharp and there is a spring mechanism in there, which makes it quite nerve-wracking to remove the blade.
The curvature of the board and knife are perfectly matched, making the blade rock and chop seamlessly. It also moves and scoops easily.
