This food-chopper is very easy to clean. The slicer assembly can be removed easily for cleaning and it is easier than any other chopper I have used. I recommend spending a few extra bucks to get the take-apart model. It can be cleaned by hand or in the dishwasher, but I prefer to do it by hand to avoid warping the blade. I hate cleaning kitchen utensils, but this really is a breeze, as long as you don't wait until the chopped stuff has dried on it. If you do, it'll take more elbow grease, but still doable with the included brush and a pair of tweezers.
