The durability of the rod has been improved by making the top section out of solid fiberglass. It also comes with a unique cover that protects the rod when in the retracted position, making it safe to put in my daypack, backpack, car trunk, etc.
I performed a bend test on the rod and found it to be sensitive but still very tough.

I ordered the 7foot MH rod and I am very happy with it. If you take your time to correctly align the guides and ensure proper extension of the rod, it works perfectly for freshwater fishing. Each section of the rod stays secured and the sliding guides make it very easy to fully extend the rod. Once I am done fishing, I collapse the rod and secure my hook and Im ready to go. Once collapsed, the setup takes no space at all.
