About 3M Tegaderm Transparent Film Dressing
Overall Feedback:
92% positive
95% appreciated its high absorbency, but 5% found it wasn't enough
Tegaderm sticks firmly to the skin and keeps the wound from getting wet, allowing me to go back in the water sooner.
I have complained that the product is not absorbent enough and has caused skin damage. When I tried to remove it, it took off a layer of skin with it, resulting in a larger damaged skin area than before.
93% praised for its strong adhesive, while 7% found it didn't stick well
Sometimes I have to trim the edges if it loosens, but it usually lasts for the full 2 weeks.
The adhesive on first-aid bandaging pads can cause skin damage and pain if not applied properly.
78% liked its breathable design, though 22% experienced moisture buildup
I have complained that the bandaging pads are not breathable and have extremely powerful adhesives that are chemicals. When I tried to remove it, it took off a layer of skin with it and caused skin damage and pain. A barrier should be applied before applying this to make it easy to remove.
95% found it easy to apply
The bandaging pads are easy to put on and stay on well.
Tegaderm sticks firmly to the skin and keeps the wound from getting wet, allowing me to get back in the water sooner.
84% liked that it is hypoallergenic, but 16% experienced an allergic reaction
It is hypoallergenic and easy to remove from sensitive skin.
The product has extremely powerful adhesives that are chemicals and can cause harm if not used properly.
83% praised for its size and shape, while 17% found it small
I can get back in the water sooner because the Tegaderm film sticks firmly to my skin and keeps the wound from getting wet.
The bandaging pad is too large and when I tried to tear it off, it took off a layer of skin with it. As a result, my skin area is now larger and more damaged than my original concern for visiting the dermatologist.
I have not faced any irritation even after leaving them on all day long, compared to other bandages I have tried. This indicates that the adhesive strength of the bandage is good enough to keep the bandage on for a long time without causing any irritation.
