The fire-pit-cover is not very durable as it is not very thick.
I put the cover on correctly, but it's not waterproof.

I found that the inside of the stove was completely soaked the first couple of times I used it. I blamed myself for putting it on wrong, but then I used it again and found a two-inch block of ice in the bottom of it. This indicates that the cover is not waterproof and I have faced this problem personally.
