About Beacon Fabri-Tac Permanent Adhesive, 4-Ounce (FT4D) - 1 Pack
Overall Feedback:
94% positive
83% praised the washable nature, but 17% didn't
The fabric adhesive holds up for a limited number of washings and is not permanent.
I tried the product on washable fabric but it did not hold during washings.
After several washings, the adhesive hardens and peels off very easily.
88% praised the versatile use
I used the product on various materials like banners, flags, costumes, and textile stage sets for my high school performance. It works quickly and can be used sparingly for amazing results.
I appreciate the versatility of this adhesive, designed for use on various fabrics and materials, making it suitable for a wide range of crafting and repair projects.
80% appreciated the low odor, but 20% found the smell unpleasant
I do not notice any odor while using the glue, unlike others who have reported it.
I noticed that the glue had a terrible odor when I first opened the bottle, but it does not have a smell anymore as I continued to use it.
I would not buy the glue again due to its short shelf life and strong unhealthy chemical odor.
I recommend using the adhesive in a well-ventilated area due to its strong chemical odor.
85% liked the flexibility after drying, whereas 15% found it too rigid
The glue is strong and yet the ribbon stays flexible, allowing me to wrap it around other things.
After it dries, the glue is stiff and not flexible.
89% liked the ease of application, but 11% found it messy
The application went smoothly with a great tip and left very little mess initially.
The glue is easy to use and holds well.
I can apply the adhesive precisely without creating a mess using the nozzle, making it easy to use.
I gave it a 4 on ease of use because the fabric tac can be difficult to control and may stick to unintended surfaces.
85% appreciated the quick drying
I was surprised to find that the fabric adhesive dries in just a minute, unlike other fabric glues I have used in the past that take a while to dry.
The glue dried fairly quickly, taking only an hour or two to dry.
It takes 2 hours to dry fully, but once it does, the hold is strong.
The adhesive has a quick drying time, which can be beneficial for projects that require immediate bonding.
89% praised the strong bonding, but 11% were disappointed
The adhesive strength of the fabric-adhesive is good enough that I couldn't pull the fabric apart even after 48 hours, unless I pulled it hard on one edge.
I generally like the product as the adhesive is very strong.
I had to buy Gorilla carpet adhesive because the adhesive I used was not strong enough. Gorilla adhesive is more viscous, easier to work with, and much stronger.
I found that the adhesive did not hold up well against the jacket material and the Velcro strip peeled off after minimal use.
The result is very good and the belts are in good shape again, indicating good adhesive strength.
