About Aleene's 15628 Stop-Fraying 2oz
75% liked the ease of application, but 25% found it messy
Applying the adhesive is easy and it is generally less visible than trying to darn a smooth fabric.
During the overnight drying process, precision and care are required to avoid letting the wet edges of the fabric adhesive touch anything.
Applying fabric-adhesive directly to the fabric can be difficult as it tends to dump too much out all at once and is thick enough that it will just sit on top of the fabric. It's better to squeeze some onto a scrap of paper and then use your finger to smooth it onto the edge of the fabric.
69% praised the washable nature
I wiped the jacket with a wet cloth, but it did not remove any of the sealant. I have not washed the jacket.
76% praised the versatile use
I have been using Fran Check for at least 30 years, proving its versatility and effectiveness in my work with fabric dolls, quilts, stuffed animals, etc.
74% liked the clear drying
The adhesive dries clear even though it is white when wet.
77% appreciated the low odor
I did not notice any smell while using the product, despite being picky about chemical smells.
76% appreciated the quick drying, but 24% felt it dried too fast
After 12 hours, the adhesive was still not dry.
The adhesive takes an entire day to dry, which is a problem.
