I appreciate the individual packaging of the product, making it easy to carry an extra in a purse or suitcase.
Eyeglass-repair-kits are easy to remove and stay on great, but they leave a bit of sticky residue which needs to be scraped off so that glasses don't stick to the nose.
I have complained that the adhesive used on the pads is difficult to remove and gets stuck on the lens, causing vision problems. It is also hard to get off the frame and lens.

The adhesion of the pad to my plastic framed glasses initially seemed good but it started to slip and come off much sooner compared to the other brand. The sticky material began to degrade and get tacky, causing the pad to slide and fall off. The tacky material would get onto the lens, making it a nightmare. It was really difficult to get off the frame and lens, and I had to use soap to remove the tacky substance.

I am happy that I can use my own glasses with the product without slipping, making it portable and convenient.
I faced a problem with the size of the pads, which narrowed the bridge too much. I had to reorder pads that would be 1 mm or thinner. This shows that eyeglass-repair-kits are not portable and not easy to carry around.

The fit was perfect when new and lifted my glasses off my face just enough to be comfortable for my eyes and prevent excessive rub on my cheeks and brow.
I found the eyeglass-repair-kits too bulky, so I cut them in half and re-stuck the skinny parts in my nose piece, which worked great while I shopped for something thinner.
Eyeglass-repair-kits are too thick and do not fit on the bridge of my nose unless I place them low.

I ordered nose pads to narrow the bridge of my glasses and chose the butterfly shape to keep them in place. The depth of the pads didn't matter to me.
